Women's Soccer: York shutout against 25th ranked Braves

Ottawa, KAN. - York held the 25th ranked Ottawa Braves scoreless for the first 36 minutes of play before the Braves scored for the 1-0 lead. Ottawa pushed another goal across seconds before halftime to hold a 2-0 lead at the break.

York allowed just one goal over 45 minutes of play, but the offense couldn't get much action towards the Braves' goalkeepers for a significant threat. Sam Blazek (FR/Diamond Bar, CA) picked up four saves in her start. Stephanie Dye (FR/Walnut, CA) was the only Panther with more than one shot, as she accumulated three, all of which were on frame.

York will travel to Avila University on Wednesday to take on the Eagles in a 2:00 p.m. start. York is 6-2 on the season and 1-1 in KCAC play.
