Chad Karcher, a native of Bridgeport, Neb., enters his 26th year as the Panther's Certified Athletic Trainer / Instructor. He received his MEd. in Curriculum & Instruction through Doane College, Crete, NE in 2004. He received his B.S. in Physical Education/Health and Athletic Training from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1991 and became nationally certified and state-licensed to practice Athletic Training in 1992. He obtained his certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant in Kansas in 1993 and gained instructor certification status in CPR/First Aid in 2000. Chad also currently coordinates and administers an athletic training outreach program in conjunction with York General Hospital and Fillmore County Hospital, serving five area high schools. Prior to coming to York College, Chad spent 7 years working in Physical Therapy through both the Fillmore County Hospital, Geneva, NE, and York Physical Therapy in rehabilitation and as the coordinator for a local high school outreach program serving 14 area high schools on an athletic training consultation basis. During this time he also served as Jr. High and Assistant Boys Basketball Coach at Geneva High School. He and his wife Joni, a Special Education Teacher and Asst. Track Coach at Fillmore Central Elementary School, Geneva, Neb., have three boys: Kyle, Kurt, and Kole.
John Sehi is from Norfolk, Nebraska. He received his Master of Athletic Training and his Masters of Physical Therapy from The University of Nebraska Medical Center in Lincoln Nebraska in 2009. He received his Bachelors of Exercise Science from The University of Nebraska - Lincoln.
John serves York University as a part time athletic trainer on a PRN basis
He currently works full time as a physical therapist at York General Hospital. John loves to spend time with his wife and three children and he and his family are very active in the York Community. He enjoys working in all field areas but especially loves working with sports teams.
Choc Bowen is from Benson, Arizona. He received his Master of Athletic Training from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2009. His Bachelor of Physical Education from Doane College in 2007.
Choc serves York University as a part-time athletic trainer on a PRN basis.
He is currently the Head Athletic Trainer for York High School. Prior to York High School, he was the head athletic trainer for Arcadia High School in Phoenix, Ariz. As part of the Bryan Health sports medicine program, helps provide athletic training services to youth sports in the Lincoln area.
Team Orthopedist - DOUGLAS A. KOCH, M.D.
Dr. Douglas Koch is originally from DeWitt, Nebraska. He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska Medical Center and completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Tennessee-Campbell Clinic, in Memphis, Tennessee.
Dr. Koch currently serves on the hospital staff of Bryan Health, Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital, Lincoln Surgical Hospital, and Beatrice Community Hospital. He is also on staff at NOC Surgery Center. Dr. Koch is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Koch is board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship in Phoenix, Arizona, at the Institute for Bone and Joint Disorders and SCG Orthopaedic Clinic. He now serves as Team Physician for the Nebraska Wesleyan Prairie Wolves, Lincoln Saltdogs, and the Lincoln Stars.
Dr. Koch is married and has two sons. His hobbies include hunting, golfing, snow skiing, and spending time with his family.
