Wichita, KAN. - York College's Amber Jimenez (SR/Gilbert, Ariz) scored in the 86th minute to give the Panthers the tie against Friends University 1-1. In a game that saw more offense from the Falcons the Panthers stood strong and snuck away with a draw to keep their record above .500 at 1-0-1.

Logan Dye (SR/Wylie, Texas) assisted Jimenez with just four minutes remaining in regulation. The Panthers were outshot 16-6. York's Alexa Moreno (JR/Duarte, Calif.) was credited with eight saves over the entire 110 minutes of play.

With the momentum going their way in overtime the Panthers had three of their five shots on goal. However, Maria Smyth saves each of them to come away with the draw. The Panthers allowed just one shot on goal in the extra periods.

York travels to Sterling College on Saturday to try for their second win on the season.
