Box Score YORK - Archford Manduvi scored a phenomenal goal as he lasered his shot from 40 yards to the right side for the game-winner in the eighth minute. He ripped the shot after receiving a pass from Reinaldo Kickhofel and fired up his teammates for the rest of the match.
York held strong against an opponent that was evenly matched and looking for a road win. But just as strong as the offense was the Panther defense. Cristofer Monje and his backline were nothing short of stellar as they collected three saves on the day. His backline stopped several more chances that never made it through to their goalkeeper.
Johan Rodriguez gave the Panthers some breathing room as she scored an unassisted goal in the 80th minute for York. He led all players with six shots, three of which were on frame. Jose Calderon was the other Panther to gain a shot on goal.
York improves to 6-8 on the year and 4-4 in KCAC play. They travel to Kansas to take on Tabor College on Saturday night. The Panthers currently sit in fifth place in the KCAC standings.
