Box Score YORK - Alexa Moreno had her hands full on Saturday and worked hard to keep her team in the game with 13 saves, however, the Bulldogs from McPherson were able to sneak four shots past for a 4-2 advantage. York was outshot 24-9 in the contest but held tight the first 55 minutes.
After McPherson's Emma Singleton scored in the 18th minute the Panthers answered back just over a minute later on a corner kick by Jazmin Pineda. Pineda sent the ball across the goal and McKenzie Stricker headed it past the goalkeeper to even the game at one. Less than a minute later Singleton put the Bulldogs ahead once again.
Jazmin Pineda came through for the Panthers once again with a stellar cross on another corner kick in the 35th minute. This time it was Cala Jamison to get the head on the ball and push it past the keeper for the match to be tied 2-2.
After a 2-2 tie going into the break it was Singleton who dominated the second half as she scored two more goals for the win.
York looks to rebound from the loss as they travel to Salina, Kan. on Wednesday for a match with the Coyotes of Kansas Wesleyan.
