Kansas City, Mo. - York College scored a goal off of a set piece in the 35th minute as Cala Jamison found the head of McKenzie Stricker that secured the 1-0 win for the Panthers on the road. The Panthers used a team effort to defeat a tough Avila team in Kansas City. The Eagles hadn't been scored on in over 300 minutes of play before the Panthers struck the decisive goal.

Avila was strong offensively outshooting the Panthers 17-8, but thanks to Alexa Moreno's strong stance in goal the Eagles were blanked on the scoreboard. Moreno finished with eight saves, while the team picked up a save as well.

York picked up their fourth win of the season and will host Bethany College on Saturday for their final game of the season. The game is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. York will honor their seniors before the game starting at 11:30 a.m.
