Box Score Kansas City, Mo. - York College wasted little time in showing they were the better team on Wednesday afternoon. Alexandre Motta scored in the 13th minute off of a through ball sent from Carlos Ortega. That was the beginning of the offensive onslaught for the Panthers as they scored four more goals to cruise to a 5-0 win. Five different Panthers scored in the match for York and Cristofer Monje had his easiest work in goal that he's had all season. He faced two shots over 90 minutes and stopped both of them.
Jose Calderon scored off of a pass from Johan Rodriguez in the 33rd minute. The two paired up again in the second half as Calderon assisted to Rodriguez in the 68th minute of play. Archford Manduvi scored in the 47th minute on an unassisted goal and Igor Fernandes scored his first goal of the season off of a pass from Giovanni Froldi.
York has gone 5-0-1 in the last six games and not lost since a touch match against McPherson College on October 2. The Panthers currently sit in fifth place in the KCAC and look to maintain that position as they finish off the regular season on Saturday against Bethany College. The game is scheduled to begin after the women's game. Seniors will be recognized before the game as well.
