Box Score Hillsboro, KAN. - York and Tabor faced off Tuesday night with each team looking to pick up their first KCAC win of the season. The Bluejays were able to pick up the win in a straight-set sweep 25-19, 25-20, 25-23.
York looked strongest in the final set of the night but the home team was able to battle back with their home crowd cheering on to get the come-from-behind win. Danielle Armendariz was a force to be reckoned with for the offense as she had five kills and zero errors in her 19 attempts. Jasmine Scarbrough had seven kills and Brooke Halterman added five. Halterman was strong at the net defensively as well as she collected six blocks.
Shelby Fronk was solid from the setter position as she picked up a team-high 15 assists. Libero Alexandria Garcia led the Panthers with 19 digs. Cassie Richardson added 16, while Scarbrough also tallied 15 on the back row.
York hit just .029 on the match and committed six service errors and six reception errors. The Bluejays weren't much better as they hit just .069 on the night but only committed one reception error.
York has a bye this weekend before hosting Southwestern College on October 19.
