York took a little bit to get going in their first KCAC game of the season but found their way as the beat the host Southwestern College Moundbuilders 77-63.
The York offense stayed hot the second half as well and that led to the double-digit victory on the road.
Offensively the Panthers were solid all night as they shot 43% from the floor. They averaged just over 19 points per quarter. York distributed the ball well all night as four players scored in double figures, led by
Britney Schroer with 14 points.

York's defense was big in the second half as they allowed the Moundbuilders to convert just eight baskets in the final 20 minutes.Â

York used a 15-0 run during the final two minutes of the third quarter and the first four minutes of the fourth to take a commanding lead at 66-55. York used a stifling press to really cut the deficit and the Moundbuilders never found an answer to breaking the press.Â
