York University never trailed as they beat KCAC opponent Sterling College 83-71 on Wednesday night. York led out of the gates but it was a close match throughout the first half as the Panthers never built a lead larger than seven points.
After trailing by 10 points early in the second half the Warriors got within four points with just under 12 points remaining in the game. That was when the Panthers went on an 11-2 run to build a 13-point lead with just over eight minutes to play.
Sterling would get it back to single digits but could never come closer than a two possession game. York hit their free throws down the stretch to keep the Warriors without a chance for a comeback.

Jaden Henderson led the Panthers with 18 points, followed by

By The Numbers
Once again York was able to dominate the rebounding category with a plus 19 advantage. The Panthers also held a decisive advantage in bench scoring of 33-9.
York shot almost 58% from the floor in the second half. That was due in part to only shooting six shots from beyond the arc. The rest of the shots were closer range and they made the Warriors pay.
