Coach Bailey Davis is entering her tenth season as head competitive cheer and
competitive dance coach at York University. Coach Bailey has had the honor of
coaching these programs through their inaugural seasons. When she was a Panther,
Davis cheered on the Panthers during the 2013-2015 seasons as well as was involved in
several other activities across campus in her three years as a YU student. She
graduated in 2015 with a degree in Speech Theory Communications. Coach Bailey also
serves as the Director of Athletic Alumni and organizes the Athletic Hall of Fame and in
2025 was promoted to the Assistant Director of Athletics.

Coach Bailey has been named KCAC Dance Coach of the Year in 2021 and 2022 and
also KCAC Cheer Coach of the Year in 2021. Her dance program earned Conference
titles in 2022 and 2023 and runner-up titles in 2021, 2024, and 2025.

Coach Bailey is a native to Council Bluffs, IA and is the daughter of Troy and Caronna
Kinney. Davis attributes the growth in this program to her athletes past and present and
to her siblings, Jordan (Ford), Madison (Sola), Taylor (Perez) and Thaddaeus, who have
pushed and encouraged her along this journey. The Kinney Family is the 2024 York
University Legacy Award recipients for their longevity and commitment to YU.

Davis is the proud wife to Joe Davis ('15) of Bakersfield, CA. Joe is the Director of Online
and Admissions at YU. Bailey and Joe have made York their home and have two
daughters, Elzie Belle and Wrynlie Raine.
