Coach Miller is entering into her tenth season at York University. She was a Panther and played at York University from 1997-2000. She earned MCAC All-Conference honors as a pitcher. She was the first York University Softball player to earn MCAC Player of the Week honors and NAIA Pitcher of the Week honors.
Miller is attributed to helping build the softball program at York University. After the 1998 season the college had considered dropping the program and she and her teammates convinced the President of the college to keep the program and helped recruit a new coach and players. Her senior year the team won 30 games and recieved an NAIA Regional Birth, the first time in school history. In 2001, Miller finished her college career as a member of the coaching staff and graduated with a degree in History. She later accepted a position in the Admissions Office where she recruited for the college from 2002-2005. Coach Miller received her Masters in Organizational and Global Leadership from York University in the Spring of 2018.
During her tenure with the Panthers, Coach Miller has led her team to 2 KCAC Conference Championship births. Also, under Miller's leadership her athletes have earned MCAC, KCAC, NAIA, NFCA & All-Nebraska honors.
Coach Miller is native to the Central Valley, growing up in Madera, Calif. She is the daughter of John & Yvonne Arellano. Miller gives credit to her dad and sister Victoria for teaching her how to play softball. Prior to her collegiate career, Miller was a starting pitcher and outfielder on the varsity squad at Madera High School for four seasons, being coached/mentored by Judy Shaubach, who celebrated her 500th career win in 2012, and continues to be the winningest female softball coach in Central Section history. Miller attributes her pitching success to her mentor and pitching coach, Leroy "Mr. Z" Zimmerman, who was inducted into the International Softball Hall of Fame in 1971. Miller’s passion for coaching comes from her deep love of the game and the coaching she was blessed with growing up.
Miller is the proud wife of Retired Chief Warrant Officer Kenneth Miller of the United States Coast Guard. Together they have two daughters, Peyton and Aubrey.
