North Newton, KAN. - York College picked up a tough win on the road on Saturday evening when they beat Bethel College 1-0. The Panthers' defense came up big as they were outshot 18-7, but they never broke as Cassandra Martinez (SR/Madera, Calif) picked up the complete-game shutout and six saves.

Breanna Bembenek (JR/New Lenox, Ill) scored in the 15th minute off a pass from Logan Dye (JR/Wylie, Texas) to the game-winning goal. The Panthers move to 3-4-1 in KCAC play and will host Friends University on Tuesday afternoon in York. The game is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. kick-off.
