Box Score 2 Moore, OKLA. - York had a tough task ahead of them playing two road games in Oklahoma this weekend but the Panthers were up for the task winning both matches 3-1.
York vs. Randall
York jumped ahead early against the host team Randall University winning the first two sets 25-20, 25-19. The Saints took the Panthers by surprise in set three with a 17-25 score to keep the match alive. Head Coach Crystal Nething used the three minutes between sets to talk with her players about closing out the match. They did just that as the Panthers hammered down on the Saints for a final score of 25-12.
Shiloh Lively was the leader offensively as she picked up 14 kills on 43 attempts. Danelle Armendariz was right behind her with nine kills on 31 attempts. Aubrey Bostick and Brooke Halterman added eight each to the team's total of 49. Darby Wright tallied 38 assists and a team-high 18 digs. Elisa Cardona and Shiloh Lively each tallied 16 digs as well, while Jasmine Scarbrough added 15.
York vs. USAO
After defeating Randall in four sets the Panthers turned around and played the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma. York had a similar outing against the Drovers as they controlled the first two sets, lost the third, and then finished with a strong fourth set.
Lively was once again the player of the match with team-highs in kills (11) and digs (19). Darby Wright was solid again with 23 assists. York was very strong from the serve as they accumulated 12 ace serves led by Lively and Wright each tallying three, and Elisa Cardona and Danielle Armendariz adding two each.
York improves to 4-5 on the season and travels to Peru Stats for the Bobcat Classic this coming weekend.
