Shaylee (Carlock) Fortner is one of three former Panthers to be inducted into the York University Athletic Hall of Fame on October 21, 2023.

Shaylee Carlock was a dominant part of Head Coach Justin Carver's track and field program for four years. She was an elite thrower who set multiple records during her time at York University.
 
Shaylee's strong suit was the shot put where she was a four-time NCCAA (National Christian College Athletic Association) All-American. 
 
During her career she won three NCCAA national titles in the shot put and currently holds the NCCAA Outdoor Track and Field Shot Put record.
 
Shaylee was a four-time NAIA National Qualifier and became the first YU track and field athlete to earn NAIA All-American honors. She achieved the honor twice in 2013, earning the honor at the NAIA Indoor National Championships and the NAIA Outdoor National Championships.
 
Shaylee will be inducted alongside Greg Smith and Scott Carstens.
 
The official induction for the 2023 Athletic Hall of Fame will be during the luncheon will be Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. at the Chances "R" Beer Garden. To register to attend please click here.
