The York University Panthers had a tough night in store as they hosted the McPherson College Bulldogs. The Bulldogs came ready to play and were dominant in the first two sets winning 25-7 and 25-9. The third set the Panthers competed better before losing 25-21.
Kenna Tarnowski and
Jasmine Scarbrough led the Panthers with five kills each.
Mariah Janda and
Avery Schneider each tallied seven assists while Scarbrough and
Cassie Richardson were strong in the back row leading the Panthers with eight digs apiece.
York will host Southwestern on Saturday in front of a homecoming crowd in the Freeman Center. The match is scheduled for a 4:00 p.m. start.
