YORK, Neb. – The York University men's soccer team lost a hard fought 2-1 decision to McPherson College Wednesday afternoon.

The Panthers are now 5-6-4 on the year, including 4-4-2 in KCAC action.

York registered the first shot of the match when Alex Hulme blasted an attempt in the third minute. The home team continued pushing forward as Diego Yanes recorded a shot at the 14:06 mark. After a shot on goal by Tomas Viralhadas, the Bulldogs rattled off four consecutive attempts.

In the 30th minute, Sergio Bueno rocketed an attempt that found the back of the net for a 1-0 lead. The contest would remain at that score until the second stanza.

York posted attempts by Hulme and Vinicius Pie in the early portion of the second frame, but McPherson College garnered four consecutive shots, including one that tied the match in the 68th minute of play.
