MCPHERSON, Kan. – The York University volleyball team lost a 3-0 decision at McPherson College Wednesday evening.
The Panthers are now 18-10 on the year, including 4-4 in KCAC action. The Bulldogs improve to 22-5 on the year and 8-1 in league play.
Head coach
Irick Gardner's team was led by
Jai Dotson's team-best seven kills while hitting .583.
Avery Schneider chipped in six kills while
Liberty Baker added four in the loss.
Mariah Janda dished out 14 assists to go along with six digs.
Kensey Clifton distributed 10 assists and had four digs.
At the service line,
Florencia Felmer and
Ambar Ortiz had two aces apiece.
Along the balanced back line,
Cassie Richardson notched a team-best eight digs. Ortiz also contributed six digs in the contest.
After dropping the first set 25-9, the Panthers trailed 20-11 in the second stanza. Baker started things off with a kill. Moments later,
Emma Kerley slammed home a kill to make it 21-17, but that was as close as the team could get.
The home team managed to snag a 25-18 win in the third frame.
