HILLSBORO, Kan. – The York University men's soccer team lost a 4-1 contest at Tabor College Thursday evening.

The Panthers are now 6-7-4 on the season, including 5-5-2 in KCAC action.

York was aggressive from the outset, taking the first three shots of the match. Alex Hulme tallied two of those attempts, including one on goal. Diego Yanes garnered a shot that sailed high in the 12^th minute of action.

The Blue Jays got on the board with their first attempt, which occurred at the 12:40 mark. Six minutes later, the squad pushed the margin to 2-0.

The Panthers tried to slice into the deficit in the 22^nd minute, but Hulme's shot missed high.

Tabor extended the lead to 3-0 in the 24^th minute of action.

Hulme's shot in the 33^rd minute missed wide. Just before halftime, York tallied three shots in a two-minute span. Mattias Trottel had a shot on goal while Hulme posted two shots on frame, but all three were stopped.

Down 4-0 near the midway point of the second half, Diego Yanes broke through the defense and rocketed home a goal for York.  

Sergio Bueno tallied a shot on goal in the 70^th minute and Matias Madriaga had one on target four minutes later. In the 79^th minute, Matias Trettel registered back-to-back shots on goal, but both were stopped by the keeper.

For the match, Yanes tallied a goal while Hulme recorded five shots, including two on frame.

In goal, Jamie Watt played just over 62 minutes and picked up four saves,  Alexandre Florens played 27 minutes and had one save.
