HILLSBORO, Kan. – The York University women's soccer team played Tabor to a scoreless draw Thursday evening in a KCAC contest.

The Panthers are now 8-5-4 on the year, including 5-3-4 in league play. Tabor stands at 5-7-5 overall and 4-5-3 against conference foes.

York opened the contest with the first shot of the match, but Adriana Castellanos Rodrigo's attempt at the 15:36 mark was stopped by the keeper.

Harumi Cornejo thwarted the Blue Jays two minutes later. Tabor posted two more shots in the opening stanza, but neither were on goal.

The Panthers were extremely aggressive in the second stanza. Just five minutes in, Laia Gallego Balado rocketed a shot on target that was saved. In the 56^th minute, Lorna Campos tallied a shot on goal. Castellanos Rodrigo blasted a shot on frame in the 61^st minute, but it was turned away.

Gracie Reynolds' attempt at the 60:44 mark missed high. Three minutes later, Castellanos Rodrigo put another shot on target.

Cornejo stopped an attempt in the 65^th minute. York quickly went on the attack and ended with a shot on goal by Esperanza Villatoro.

Castellanos Rodrigo had three more shots over the final 23 minutes of play, including two on goal, but none found the back of the net.

For the match, York tallied 10 shots, including eight on goal. Castellanos Rodrigo led the way with six attempts, with five being on goal.

Between the pipes, Cornejo played all 90 minutes and had three saves.
