YORK, Neb. - The York University men's basketball team lost a ?? contest to Sterling Saturday in KCAC action.
The Panthers are now 2-3 on the year and 0-1 in league play. The Warriors improve to 6-1 on the season and 1-0 against conference foes.

Andrew Bennett canned eight-of-nine from the floor for 18 points. He also snagged seven rebounds.
Carl Thorpe Jr., accounted for 10 points, eight rebounds and five assists while
Chris Dixon totaled nine points.
A Bennett jumper 49 seconds into the game knotted the score at 2-2. A field goal by the Warriors less than a minute later gave the visitors the advantage for good.

Rhino Hernandez for a lay-up. A free throw completed the three-point play. With less than a minute to play, Leaks buried a shot from downtown, pulling the home team within 10 at halftime.
With the score at 57-42, Bennett scored four straight points. An inside bucket from Leaks made it 57-48 with 11:24 to go. Bennett netted four more points, including a tip-in at the 6:51 mark, to make it a seven-point contest, 63-56. However, that was as close as the team could get the rest of the way.
For the game, York hit 27-of-59 (45.8 percent) from the floor, including six-of-17 (35.3 percent) from downtown. The Panthers outrebounded the Warriors 37-35. York tallied 12 assists and outscored the opponents in the paint by a 38-24 margin. The 10 offensive boards led to 17 second chance points.
