LINDSBORG, Kan. – The York University men's basketball team lost a 77-70 decision at Bethany Wednesday evening.
The Panthers are now 5-15 on the season, including 2-13 in KCAC action. The Swedes stand at 9-11 overall and 6-9 in league play.

Tree Burks' team was led by
Carl Thorpe Jr.'s 21-point, 11-rebound effort.
Dave Dalge poured in 19 points while
Andrew Bennett accounted for 10 points and seven rebounds.
DJ Leaks contributed nine markers while
Devin Carroll posted six points and eight rebounds.
Amari Haynes added three points while
Rhino Hernandez totaled two points and six assists.
A three-ball from Carroll and a jumper by Dalge pushed the Panthers in front, 5-4. Tied at 7-7, Thorpe Jr., started a run with a lay-up. He then found Bennett for a thunderous dunk. Dalge's inside bucket pushed the lead to six, 13-7.
Trailing 23-21, Hernandez found Thorpe Jr., for a three-ball. With 6:55 to play, Hernandez connected with Dalge for a lay-up. Thorpe Jr., converted a three-point play before Leaks found Dalge for another shot from distance, extending the margin to nine, 32-23. York maintained a 37-35 edge at the break.
The Panthers pulled within three when Bennett tipped in a shot at the 16:20 mark. Down 55-50, Thorpe Jr., converted a lay-up. Hernandez made a solid pass to Leaks for an old-fashioned three-point play, knotting the score at 55-55 with 13:11 to go. Dalge's three-point play gave York a 58-57 advantage with 12:22 remaining. However, the Swedes went on a 12-0 run for a 69-58 lead with 9:34 to play.
Down 77-65 with 4:14 to go, the visitors did not allow another point while netting the final five points of the contest.
For the game, York hit 26-of-56 from the floor, including five-of-16 from the three-point line. The team converted 13-of-18 from the charity stripe. The Panthers snagged 38 boards. York dished out 10 assists and had 13 points off turnovers.
