NORTH NEWTON, Kan. – The York University volleyball team lost a 3-0 decision at Bethel Wednesday evening.
The Panthers are now 12-20 on the season, including 2-9 in KCAC action.
Head coach
Irick Gardner's team was led by
Brianna Lemke's five kills.
Emma Kerley added four in the contest.
Florencia Felmer tallied three kills while
Mackenzie Smith,
Jassania Joseph,
Kaylee Weigel and
Jai Dotson had two kills.
Isidora Diaz Aguirre recorded a kill.
Meadow Nusbaum accounted for a team-best nine assists while
Kensey Clifton dished out seven.
Elena Brown had four assists and Diaz Aguirre garnered one.
Brown, Felmer and Nusbaum had aces in the loss.
Defensively, Dotson led the way with two solo blocks while Joseph had one.
Valentina Jiminez notched eight digs while Clifton and Nusbaum had four apiece. Felmer and
Olivia Romero totaled three digs each. Brown and Lemke connected for two digs apiece.
For the match, York tallied 21 kills and had 21 assists. The squad served up three aces. Gardner's team posted 31 digs and had three blocks.
