YORK, Neb. – The York University women's soccer team lost a 3-0 decision to Friends University Saturday afternoon.
The Panthers are now 0-8 on the season, including 0-4-1 in KCAC action.
Just 29 seconds into the match,
Lois Mattock registered a shot, but it missed wide. In the fourth minute,
Gracie Reynolds went on the attack and promptly belted an attempt. However, it sailed just high of the crossbar.
Down 1-0,

th minute missed high. York placed its first shot on goal in the 21
st minute, coming off the boot of Mattock, but it was thwarted by the keeper. The Panthers had a chance to knot the score at the 33:43 mark, but
Gracie Reynolds' shot missed wide of the frame.
Trailing 2-0, York's
Margot Bregeat accounted for a hard shot in the 59
th minute, but it was saved by the keeper.
The Falcons added a goal late in the match for the final 3-0 score.
For the match, York posted six shots, including two on goal. The team earned three corner kicks.
Between the pipes,
Harumi Cornejo played all 90 minutes and stopped seven shots.
