The Panthers are now 9-21 on the season, including 4-6 in KCAC action.

Head coach Aaron Alvarez's team scored two runs in the sixth for the 2-1 lead off a two-run shot by Taylor Jones.

Jones belted a two-out double to left center field in the fourth, but a fly ball ended the threat. Emma Peeples was hit by a pitch in the fifth. She swiped second but back-to-back outs ended the frame.

Down 1-0 in the sixth, Bethany Wright posted a two-out hit into center field. Sydney Rann entered as a pinch runner and was able to trot home on Jones' two-run shot over the left field wall.

For the game, Jones posted three hits, including a home run and a double. She drove in two and scored. Larson, Peeples and Wright all had hits while Rann crossed home.
