Lindsborg, KAN. - York College struggled out of the gates Saturday night and could never recover as the Swedes from Bethany College won 72-55. York scored just 15 first-half points as they found themselves behind 39-15 at the break. The Panthers climbed back into the game a little in the second half, but the deficit was too much to overcome.

Julia Trujillo (JR/Denver, CO) was a bright spot for the Panthers as she scored a game-high 19 points. She was 7-for-8 from the field and 5-for-6 from the charity stripe.

York started out the game shooting just 28% from the field. In the second half the Panthers were much better as they shot 48% over the final 20 minutes of play.

York will host the University of St. Mary on Wednesday afternoon in the Freeman Center. The game will tip-off at 6:00 p.m.
