Box Score OMAHA - York College led for most of the game on Saturday night, but in the end it was the College of St. Mary Flames that came away with the 58-53 win. York led by as many as 12 points in the second quarter, but a second-half struggle offensively allowed the Flames to get back into the game and eventually take the lead.
York College held the lead for the first 37 minutes of the game. It wasn't until the final three minutes that the Flames would take their first lead. And then York failed to make a basket in the final 2:53 of the game.
Amaia Diez (SO/Pamplona, Spain) scored a game-high 23 points while TaShay Jackson (SR/New Rochelle, N.Y.) was the only other Panther to score in double figures as she finished with 12. York shot 50% from the field in the first half, but only converted 8-of-29 attempts in the second half.
York travels to Tabor College on Monday night.
