Box Score Hillsboro, KAN. - York battled hard against Tabor on Monday night but the Bluejays mounted a big 25-6 fourth quarter to put the game away. It was the Panthers' fourth game in eight days. York held strong in the first half being only down by eight points at 33-25, but the last 20 minutes were tough for the Panthers.
Julia Trujillo (SR/Denver, Colo) led all scorers with 19 points. Brileigh Slaughter (FR/Lake Charles, La.) was the only other Panther to score in double figures as she came off of the bench for 10 points and six rebounds. Yionis Keith (SO/Oklahoma City, Okla) was the only other starter for the Panthers' squad to score.
The Bluejays were strong offensively all night as they shot 50% from the field, while the Panthers shot 30%. York converted just one long ball as they were 1-of-13 from downtown.
The Panthers will have a much-needed break now as they don't play again until January 9. York will host Ottawa University in the Freeman Center to start the second semester.
York is currently 4-7 overall and 2-7 in the KCAC.
