Women's Basketball: Panthers fall on the road to Friends

Wichita, KAN. - York's losing streak continued as they fell Saturday night 77-57 to a talented Friends University squad. Julia Trujillo scored a team-high 19 points to lead the Panthers offensively. Amaia Diez came off of the bench to score 12 points but was limited to just 11:30 due to foul trouble. Kendall Fike scored six points and picked up 10 rebounds for York. York shot 39% from the floor. The team did a good job defensively to force the Falcons to shoot just 37%. However, the Falcons attempted 14 more field goals and 11 more free throws than the Panthers.

York turned the ball over 31 times which the Falcons converted into 29 points. The Panthers host Sterling College in their final home game of the season on Wednesday night. The game is scheduled for a 6:00 p.m. tip-off.
