YORK - York College had a strong first half that gave them all of the momentum going into the break with a nine-point lead over Friends University. However, the baskets refused to fall in the second half as the Panthers saw their lead diminish as they were only able to score 18 points over the final two periods.

The first quarter saw both teams take charge offensively and go back-and-forth on the scoreboard to a 20-15 Falcons advantage after 10 minutes of play. The offense came alive for the Panthers in the second quarter as they scored 24 points and shot over 50% from the floor. Amaia Diez was lethal from beyond the arc and the Panthers allowed just 10 points in the quarter for the 39-30 lead going into the break.

The second half was very difficult to swallow for the Panthers as the shots wouldn't fall and the Panthers made just seven shots over the final 20 minutes of play. York went 0-12 from three-point land in that time span.

The Falcons picked up 16 second-chance points to the Panthers zero for the contest. York didn't score a field goal over the final 2:29 of the game.
