Box Score Leavenworth, KAN. - York College fought hard all night and made a close game of it late in the fourth quarter, but were unable to eclipse the home team. The University of Saint Mary beat the Panthers 66-60 after leading by 18 points in the fourth quarter. Trailing 47-65 with just under seven minutes remaining in the game York went on a 13-0 run to bring the game within five points at 60-65 with one minute remaining. York had possession with under 30 seconds remaining down two possessions, but a miss by Julia Trujillo forced the Panthers to foul. The Spires made one free throw and held the Panthers scoreless on their final possession to escape with the win.
Julia Trujillo did as much as she could scoring a game-high 24 points and nine rebounds. Shawnau Johnson added 13 points and Amaia Diez contributed 11 points off of the bench.
