Panthers' strong first quarter not enough as Bluejays win

Box Score

YORK - The Panthers jumped out to a 21-18 lead after the first quarter. York's offense was hitting on all cylinders during the first period against a strong Tabor College team. Unfortunately, the offense slowed down after the first quarter and the Bluejays pulled away for the win 68-45.

After the strong first quarter the Panthers couldn't find the basket during the second. York was held scoreless from the field during the period and was only able to convert three points from the charity stripe.

Julia Trujillo was the only Panther to score in double figures as she scored 15 points on 5-of-13 shooting. Shawnau Johnson was the team leader with five rebounds.

The Bluejays held the Panthers to 31% shooting from the field and forced 25 turnovers. Tabor was also dominant in the paint as they outscored the Panthers 48-27.
