Panthers lose in home finale

Box Score

YORK - York College battled hard but couldn't come back from behind in their home finale as the Panthers fell 82-75 to the visiting University of Saint Mary Spires. After trailing by 13 going into the final quarter the Panthers fought back within six points but were unable to get any closer before the final horn sounded.

Julia Trujillo led all scorers with her game-high 32 points in the final time she will play in the Freeman Center. Fellow senior Amaia Diez was the second-highest scorer on the day with 21 points.

Keys to the Game
The Spires shot 44% from the field to the Panthers 40%. York also had minus-seven points on points-off-turnovers that ultimately decided the game. Amaia Diez was called for a technical foul while on the bench that got her into foul trouble. She had to sit most of the third quarter due to foul trouble a time the Panthers needed to go on a run. Trujillo played all but one minute in the contest.
