WINFIELD, Kan. – The York University women's cross country team put forth a solid effort at the
Southwestern College Mid-States Classic Saturday.
Head coach
Justin Carver's team was led by freshman
Maddie Davis' time of 27:33.9 for 15
th place in the 6k event. Fellow rookie
Jadon Hess crossed the line in 17
th place with a mark of 28:13.3.
Megan DeHart and
Morgan Peterson were right behind one another. Dehart was 20
th after finishing in 28:24.8 while Peterson posted a time of 28:27.2.
York did not have enough student-athletes competing and did not register a team score. TAMU-Texarkana won the meet while Oklahoma Wesleyan and Mid-America Christian were second and third, respectively.
The Panthers return to action Saturday, Nov. 9 at the KCAC Championships.
