BARTLESVILLE, Okla. – The York University women's basketball team lost an 81-72 contest in overtime at Oklahoma Wesleyan.
The Panthers are now 5-10 on the season, including 3-9 in KCAC action.

Corinna Minjarez's team was led by
Monique Contreras' 20 points and four rebounds.
Alliyana Page accounted for 18 points while
Pasiko Hvichiani accounted for 13 points.
Britney Schroer added eight points and five boards while
Alyssa Civitak added seven points.
Olivia Adams had four points and 12 rebounds while
Clara Romero added two points.
York jumped out to an 11-0 lead just 1:41 into the contest en route to a 26-15 edge after the first quarter. Page got things going with a basket. Schroer netted the next four points before Page converted another lay-up at the 8:34 mark. Schroer found Page for a three-point bucket, making it 11-0. Leading 11-9,
Monique Contreras netted five straight points. Up 18-13, Contreras connected on two lay-ups before
Pasiko Hvichiani canned a free throw for a 23-13 advantage. A three-ball from
Alyssa Civitak gave the Panthers an 11-point margin going into the second quarter.
Up 27-23, Contreras hit a shot from downtown. Neither team scored for 4:08. Then, Hvichiani broke the drought with a free throw with 3:01 to play in the half. Leading 32-25, Hvichiani buried a shot from behind the arc for a 10-point margin at the break (35-25).
York held a 39-32 lead before Page connected on four straight points for a 43-32 edge with 6:06 to play in the third frame. The home team scored the final 10 points of the stanza for a 50-47 lead going into the final quarter.
Down 59-56 with just under five minutes to go,
Olivia Adams hit an inside shot. She followed it up with two free throws with 4:23 to play for a 60-59 lead. Trailing 62-61, Hvichiani made a lay-up. Contreras added to the lead with a free throw with 1:37 to go. Tied at 64-64, Hvichiani recorded a steal with 13 seconds to play, but York was unable to get a shot off, sending the game into overtime.
Oklahoma Wesleyan scored 13 of the first 15 points in overtime en route to the nine-point margin.
For the game, York drilled 26-of-59 from the floor, including eight-of-15 from downtown. The squad canned 12-of-18 from the free throw line. The Panthers pulled down 35 rebounds and led for 30:36. The squad dished out nine assists and scored 32 points in the paint.
