YORK, Neb. - The York University baseball team lost a 22-0 decision to Oklahoma Wesleyan Saturday in the series finale.
The Panthers are now 13-20 on the season, including 11-11 in KCAC action.
Head coach
Brian Walth's team fell behind 9-0 through the first three innings. The Eagles posted three runs in the fifth, three in the sixth and seven in the seventh.
In the fifth,
Hunter Arellano posted a two-out single up the middle. However, he was erased on a fielder's choice.
In the seventh,
Aiden Knoernschild entered as a pinch hitter and promptly walked. A strikeout ended the contest.
For the game, Arellano recorded the team's only hit. He was also hit by a pitch. Knoernschild picked up a walk.
On the mound,
James McCown got the start and worked 2.1 innings.
Ruben Colliander saw time on the mound.
Jaret Mello tossed two innings.
Mason Gorecki threw two-thirds of an inning.
Evan Tordiffe struck out a batter while
Trace Hall also had a strikeout.
