HILLSBORO, Kan. – The York University baseball team lost a 17-7 contest at Tabor College Monday afternoon.
The Panthers are now 7-13 on the season, including 5-5 in KCAC action.

Brian Walth's team trailed 9-0 entering the third stanza.
Marek Stone led off the frame with a single to right field. On a 2-1 count,
Gio Tarin blasted a two-run round-tripper over the wall, cutting the margin to 9-2.
Sam Hodoly reached on an error an inning later and
Nathan Eisenmenger entered as a pinch runner. He scored on a double by
Aiden Knoernschild. Stone's base knock to center field trimmed the deficit to five, 9-4.
Down 13-4 in the fifth,
Isaac Gomez posted a double to center field. After a walk to
Austin Petersen, each moved up a bag on a wild pitch.
Landon Morgan roped a double to right field, knocking in both runners. Moments later, Knoernschild reached on a fielder's choice, allowing Morgan to race home.
The Bluejays added three runs in the bottom of the inning for a 16-7 advantage. The home team tacked on a run in the sixth for the final tally.
For the game, Gomez, Hodoly and Stone had two hits apiece. Tarin drove in three while Morgan knocked in two.
On the mound,
Dakota Angielski got the start.
Brayden Woodard had three strikeouts in three frames.
Evan Tordiffe saw time on the mound while
Trace Hall threw 1.1 frames.
Mason Gorecki tossed two-thirds of an inning.
