OTTAWA, Kan. – The York University baseball team lost a 10-0 contest at Ottawa Sunday afternoon in the series finale.

The Panthers are now 15-30 on the year, including 13-20 in KCAC action.

Head coach Brian Walth's team saw the Braves plate a run in the first and second as well as two in the third for a 4-0 advantage. York kept Ottawa off the board for the next three frames before the home squad pushed across two in the seventh and four in the eighth for the 10-0 win.

Jose Martinez led off the game with an infield single to the shortstop, but three straight outs concluded the inning. An inning later, Hunter Arellano drew a walk and hustled to second on a wild pitch. After a walk to Landon Morgan, Jay Twedt recorded a single to left field, loading the bases. However, a double play ended the inning.

Austin Petersen registered a two-out single in the third. In the sixth, Sam Hodoly doubled to left field and Noah Prasad entered as a pinch runner. After a walk to Marek Stone, a groundout pushed both runners into scoring position. A fly ball ended the threat.

For the game, Martinez, Petersen, Hodoly, Twedt and Eisenmenger had base hits. Hodoly notched a double.
