LINDSBORG, Kan. – The York University baseball team lost a 10-1 decision at Bethany College Tuesday afternoon.
The Panthers are now 13-25 on the season, including 11-15 in KCAC action.

Brian Walth's team saw
Gio Tarin record a one-out single in the first inning. With two down, he swiped second base. However, he was left stranded.
Down 3-0,
Jay Twedt singled to center field with one away in the second. After advancing to second on a walk to
Noah Prasad,
Bryce Gorecki notched a two-out single to left but Prasad was out on the base paths, ending the stanza.
Trailing 7-0 in the fourth frame, Twedt drew a four-pitch walk with one down but back-to-back outs ended the inning.
York got things going in the fifth as Gorecki roped a double down the left field line.
Kodai Namba entered as a pinch runner and hustled to third on a fly ball to right field. Two pitches later, Tarin smacked a pitch through the right side of the infield, allowing Namba to cross home. Bethany scored a run in the bottom of the inning for an 8-1 advantage.
Bethany added two runs in the seventh for what turned out to be the final margin.
For the game, Gorecki,
Austin Petersen and Tarin had two hits apiece. Gorecki and Peterson each notched doubles while Tarin drove in a run.
Jose Martinez and Twedt posted singles. Namba scored the team's lone run.
On the mound,
Austin Copeland got the start and worked 2.1 innings.
Jaret Mellow tossed two frames before
Mason Gorecki worked 1.2 innings.
Brayden Woodard threw an inning as did
Cameron Castor. Gorecki recorded two strikeouts while Copeland and Mello each had one.
