Softball drops two to Nebraska Wesleyan

The Lady Panthers have had a tough time getting into the win column this season and Wednesday afternoon was no different. The Panthers would drop two games to Nebraska Wesleyan 11-5 and 5-0.
In the first game the Panthers scored in all but the first and last innings, but were only able to get one run across each time. York stranded 12 runners overall twice leaving the bases loaded. Arica Reeves (SR/Oklahoma City, OK) led the Panthers going 3-4 with an RBI. Destiny Sandoval (FR/Fresno, CA) was 2-3 with 2 RBIs. Taby Cramer (SR/Blair, NE) was credited with the loss as she only made it two innings giving up six runs on three hits.

The second game was a close one until the very end. NWU was able to score in the top of the first inning and then no scoring happened until the top of the seventh as NWU scored four. The Prairiewolves would outhit the Panthers 12 to 4 and both teams stranded 7 runners. Morgan Moore (FR/Loomis, CA) gave up four runs in one and two-thirds innings pitched for the loss.

The Panthers are back in action Thursday as they host Concordia University in a double header at Miller Park in York, Neb.
