McPherson, KAN. - A slow start offensively allows the McPherson College Bulldogs to run away with the 69-48 win on Wednesday night. The Panthers scored just 19 points in the first half falling behind 36-19 at the break. York fought hard the second half but could not overcome the deficit.
Amaia Diez (FR/Pamplona, Spain) scored 16 points in the game as she led the Panthers offensively. Ciara Williams (SR/San Diego, Calif) finished with eight, while Melody Thomsen (JR/Westminster, Calif) added seven.
York turned the ball over 21 times, attributing to 23 points for the Bulldogs. McPherson also held a plus-14 rebounding advantage.
York will host Avila University on Saturday afternoon as they look to win their first KCAC game of the season. Game will start at 3:00 p.m.
