Ottawa, KAN. - York College had its 2019-20 season come to an end in a KCAC semifinal matchup against (6) Ottawa Universit 104-76. The Panthers battled their way through the first half keeping pace with the explosive Braves. Each team traded seven-point runs to try to take control, but it wasn't until late in the first half where Ottawa began to pull away.
The Braves shot a sizzling 51% from the floor including 49% from beyond the arc. The Panthers shot 44% from the floor but weren't able to maintain the pace of the Braves.
DeAnte Barnes led the Panthers with 20 points and 12 rebounds. He added two blocks as well. Victor Lewis chipped in 15 points and seven rebounds. Cameron Burns was thrown into the starting lineup and came up big for the Panthers with 11 points and four assists. Michael Tolbert added 10 points as the fourth Panther to score in double figures.
It was a tough go late in the game though as the depth of the Braves shown through as they outscored York 43-12.
York finishes the season 15-16 overall and 11-14 in conference play.
