Box Score YORK - York College jumped out quickly on the 22nd ranked Bethel College Threshers in the Freeman Center, but the Threshers stayed cool and came away with a 105-83 win. York held a 21-19 lead with just over 11 minutes left in the first half. After a back-and-forth game for the next five minutes, the Threshers went on a 10-0 to go up by 13 points at 41-28. After being down by 14 points at the break the Panthers could never get closer than 12 points the rest of the game. Keyaun Hoskin and Eric Lenear tried to keep the Panthers in the game scoring 31 and 23 points, respectively. Hoskin finished with a career-high.
Bethel used balanced scoring as four players scored in double figures. The Threshers also controlled the boards with a plus-21 advantage. That helped them outscore the Panthers 27-8 on second-chance points.
York also found themselves in foul trouble with 32 fouls, compared to 19 for the visitors. That accounted for 32 points from the charity stripe for the Threshers. York converted just 11 points from the free-throw line.
York travels to Sterling College on Saturday for a rematch with the Warriors. The game is scheduled for a 4:00 p.m. tip-off.
