McPherson, KAN. - Hosea Jiptoo finished in 16th place overall and qualified for the NAIA Cross Country Championships in Vancouver, Washington with a career-best time of 26:26.1. Kiptoo's time was almost a minute faster than his previous best and was good enough to give the team 13 points. He helped the team to a ninth-place finish overall.
Jarod Belden finished second for York with 45 points and a time of 29:01.37. Justus Coppinger came in third for the Panthers where he scored 52 points with a time of 29:32.12. Ethan Leinen was next for York with a time of just under 30 minutes, right at 29:54.32. Anthony Hodson finished out the scoring for York with a time of 32:49.71.
Kiptoo will continue training over the next two weeks as he prepares for the NAIA Championships on November 19.
