Box Score 2 McPherson, Kan. - York College battled throughout the game and competed in three of the four quarters neck-and-neck with McPherson. However, the second quarter was a struggle offensively, and in the end, the decisive reason the Panthers were unable to pick up a road win as they fell 77-66.
York led a close game after the first 10 minutes of play 14-13. But the Bulldogs' offense found its rhythm in the next 10 minutes outscoring York 21-12. With the 34-26 lead at the break, the Panthers fought hard but were unable to overcome the deficit. McPherson led by as many as 16 points in the third quarter, but the Panthers hung around and to close the gap to seven points with four minutes remaining in the game at 67-60. McPherson used an 8-0 run to go up by 15 before the Panthers scored the final four points of the game.

McPherson scored 65 points in the paint to just 45 by the Panthers. Both teams shot identical numbers in the second half converting 16-of-34 field goals for 47% from the floor. York turned the ball over 22 times which converted into 25 points for the Bulldogs.

Three Panthers scored in double figures with Julia Trujillo picking up another double-double on 22 points and 13 rebounds. Amaia Diez scored 17 points and Yionis Keith added 11. McPherson's Brittany Roberts was a tough one to stop as she scored a game-high 25 points and collected 21 rebounds.
