Box Score YORK - Erik Talton led the Panthers to a powerful surge in the second half as the Panthers beat the Tabor Bluejays 73-56. Talton scored a game-high 31 points on Saturday night to lead all scorers. Seven of Talton's ten baskets were from beyond the arc. Keyaun Hoskin was right behind with 23 points. Luka Gelb added 10 points and 16 rebounds. Gelb made his presence known on the defensive side of the ball as he kept the Bluejays away from the basket. Ten of his rebounds were on the defensive end and he blocked five shots. Salvador Fernandez was the only other Panther to score more than one basket as he added five points.
York trailed by three at the break but it was all Panthers during the second half. The defense held the Bluejays to just 34% shooting from the field. York also forced 16 turnovers and scored 24 points off of them.
The win against Tabor marks the first time this season the Panthers have won back-to-back games. Luka Gelb was named KCAC Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts in the two wins.
York improves to 7-10 on the season and 4-7 in KCAC play.
