CRETE - Dwight Glover made an impact Thursday night as he scored a game-high 32 points in his Panthers' debut. But none was bigger than his final two points as they went through the net as the buzzer sounded to lift York over Doane 82-81. 

Doane led 81-80 with 1:02 left in the game. The Tigers had the opportunity to put the game away when York was forced to foul. However, the Tigers missed the front-end of two separate free throw opportunities to keep York in the game. Dwight Glover made them pay as he grabbed the ball from his teammate and made a nice move before pulling up for the 16-footer to seal the deal.

York's offense was solid all night as they shot over 54% from the field for the game. Even with the hot shooting the Panthers still found themselves behind at the break 47-43. The Tigers were able to put up 14 more shot opportunities than York, but eight missed free throws doomed Doane.

Andrew Bennett was another strong performer in his Panther debut as he came away with 15 points and a team-high eight rebounds. He also added four blocks to the game. Brent Clark and Much Biel added ten points each. 

Doane's Alec Oberhauser was a terror for the Panthers' defense as he scorched through for 31 points. He was one of three Tigers to finish in double figures.

York will host Peru State on Tuesday night in the Freeman Center for their first home game of the season. The game is slated for a 7:00 p.m. tip-off.
