HASTINGS - York University fell in overtime for the second straight game as Hastings College beat the Panthers 110-103. The Panthers had five players in double figures, led by Isaiah King with 26 points. However, the Panthers were unable to overcome turnovers as the Broncos scored 21 points off of turnovers in the defeat. The Panthers also found themselves in foul trouble as both King and Erik Talton hit the bench early due to fouling out.

The Broncos held a sizable advantage at the charity stripe as they converted 37-45 attempts. The Panthers made their way to the line 33 times, and converted on 24. The Panthers were also outplayed on the boards Tueday night as the Broncos held a plus-12 advantage. Even more so was the plus-nine advantage on the offensive end. 

The Panthers rallied back in regulation as they were down five points with 22 seconds remaining. Talton hit a three-point basket with 13 seconds to bring it down to one possession. York was forced to foul Reggie Thomas who kept the Panthers in the game as he missed the second attempt. Isaiah King then hit the game-tying field goal with eight seconds remaining to force the extra period.

The Broncos controlled the extra period however as they socred 10 of their 19 points at the free throw line.

Talton finished with 18 points and seven assists, with Brent Clark adding 17 points. Trevon Dennis added 18 points and eight rebounds while Much Biel notched a team-high nine boards to go along with his 11 points.

York falls to 1-3 on the season and looks to get in back in the win column on Friday night as they host Faith Baptist Bible College. The game is slated for a 6:00 p.m. start time in the Freeman Center.
