Panthers use balanced scoring to defeat Warriors

YORK - York College had five players score in double figures as they outlasted a scrappy Sterling College Warriors team 87-81. Luka Gelb led the Panthers with 19 points and 13 rebounds in the KCAC matchup. York jumped ahead early and controlled the game until midway through the first half. After leading by seven points the Panthers went on a field-goal drought and saw their lead slip away going into the break down 39-38. York shot much better in the second half and overcame a four-point deficit to take the lead by as many as 13 points. The Warriors weren't phased as they pulled within two possessions with just two minutes remaining in the game. Gelb put the game away in the final seconds as he dunked the ball with one second remaining in the game.
