Box Score 2 YORK - The Panthers used a strong second half to outlast the visiting Friends University Falcons on Monday night for their first KCAC win 83-78. York trailed at the break but a strong shooting performance led by Brent Clark and Keyaun Hoskin helped the Panthers outscore the Falcons by eight in the second half.
York led by as many as 13 points as they jumped out quickly in the game. However, the baskets went cold for the next few minutes as the Falcons came back slowly over the course of eight minutes of play to make it one possession. The Falcons eventually took the lead in the final few minutes and held a 35-32 going into intermission. The Panthers were pleased with the deficit only being one possession as the shooting percentage did not favor the Panthers. York shot just 38% from the floor while the Falcons were at 48%.
Brent Clark took over midway through the second half to propel the Panthers back into the game after finding themselves down by as many as eight points with 15 minutes left in the game. As he went to the bench it was Hoskin that took things into his own hands and scored on consecutive possessions to get the crowd into the game and stifle the Falcons defense.
